Cel mai cunoscut indicator de piaţă este P/E denumit şi PER (price to earnings ratio). Se calculează ca raport intre preţul acţiunii şi profitul pe acţiune, sau cât sunt investitorii dispuşi să plătească pentru a obţine o unitate monetară din profitul companiei. Acest indicator arată perioada de timp în care investiţia făcute este recuperată. Este unul dintre cei mai utilizaţi indicatori folosiţi în evaluarea preţului acţiunilor. În ciuda modului simplu de calcul, interpretarea lui este mult mai dificilă.

Adunarea Generală a Acţionarilor (AGA) este organul de conducere al societăţii ce asigură buna desfăşurare a activităţii şi politica economico-financiară şi comercială. Adunările generale sunt ordinare (AGOA) şi extraordinare (AGEA), iar în cazul în care actul constitutiv nu prevede altfel, ele se vor ţine la sediul societăţii sau în localul ce se va indica în convocator.

În general, tranzacţiile bursiere sunt clasificate în:
- tranzacţii comune,
- tranzacţii cross.

La BVB nu există numai o singură piaţă de tranzacţionare, titlurile pot fi transferate atât pe piaţa principală, numită regular, dar şi pe pieţele secundare.

Indicii bursieri

În general, indicii bursieri se constituie ca o medie ponderata a valorii de piata a actiunilor care intra în componenta lor. Acestia se calculeaza în timp real pe baza cursurilor actiunilor componente, astfel, evolutia indicilor reflecta în totalitate miscarile pietei.

Contractele futures
Contractul futures este un contract standardizat, dematerializat, intre un cumparator si un vanzator, de a cumpara, respectiv de a vinde un anumit activ la un pret stabilit in momentul incheierii tranzactiei, executarea tranzactiei urmand a se face la scadenta.

Optiunile sunt contracte standardizate avand drept suport actiuni, obligatiuni, indici bursieri, rata dobanzii, valute, marfuri etc.

Cele doua burse, Bursa de Valori Bucuresti (BVB), Bursa Monetar Financiara si de Marfuri Sibiu (BMFMS) ofera investitorilor urmatoarele instrumente:
- BVB ofera: actiuni si obligatiuni.
